Power of Prevention
Lice Lather Preventative Spray is quick, easy & very effective. Just spritz the hair and scalp between washes or swims. Contains bitter Neem leaf & Quassia bark to avoid re-infestation. Coats hair with a safe & natural plant insecticide that headlice hate, with fresh scent families love.
Easy to use, non greasy, fresh mint aroma Great for spraying hard to wash items such as caps, hats, bike helmets or car seats.
Can be used for an effective emergency lice treatment when there is no time to do a full wash & comb.
Comb well
Wet comb the hair immediately after treatment – while the hair is still wet. This vital step removes dead and dying lice and allows nit eggs which are attached to the hair by a tough glue to be easily combed out. (Lice Lather Treatment Shampoo dissolves the tough nit egg glue).
Nit eggs can be very hard to see – they are dark grey & brown which blends into the wet hair colour (white nit eggs are when the lice has hatched). They lie flat along the hair, usually 2-3 cm from the scalp.
You must remove all nit eggs to break the lice life cycle. It only takes one egg hatching to re-infest your child.
“Very impressed with Nature’s Nurse Lice Lather treatment. Really effective and easy to use. The smell was pleasant and most importantly it worked. No more lice in this family!” RK Auckland
“I regularly spritz my kids’ hair with the Lice Lather Preventative Spray. Love it. We’ve never ever had a nasty lice problem –even when everyone else has. Recommend it to everyone I know.” Kathy, Auckland.
Wet Combing Key Tips:
Get set up: Make sure you use a good light. Cover your child’s shoulders with a towel. Keep your child still & entertained with TV or a book.
Use a detangling spray or a light conditioner on tangly, long hair. Brush through to remove knots then section hair using clips.
Begin to wet comb, section by section, using Lice Lather Head lice and Nit Removal Comb. Work gently on the scalp – don’t dig the comb in – but make sure you comb every strand from roots to tip.
Wipe the comb often with a tissue, dispose of the dead and dying lice and nit eggs frequently.
Repeat until completely clear. Lice Lather kills 94% of lice immediately but a small number may have some movement – if you are concerned re-shampoo.
Treat everyone in the family to avoid re-contamination. Re-wash & wet comb in 5 days to make completely sure.
Wash bed linen and pillow cases. Wash brushes and hats or spray with Lice Lather Preventative Spray
Use Lice Lather Preventative Spray on dry hair straight after treatment to prevent reinfestation.
Active Ingredients- safe and effective
We’re parents too – we’re horrified by the toxic chemicals used to treat lice.
The pharmaceutical insecticides (such as permethrin and malathion) only work as nerve toxins -so they can be toxic to humans (especially children). Head lice have evolved to become over 90% immune to these poisonous, smelly chemicals. Essential oil treatments using tea tree or eucalyptus are alsoe very smelly & unpleasant to use and often damage the hair and scalp.
Lice Lather is a safe, effective, low aroma and easy to use option developed for our own children, and for our friends and family.
The unique natural plant insecticides of Neem leaf (from India) and Quassia bark (from South America) have been safely used by humans for thousands of years. These plants work synergistically on the head lice’s hormones up to 25 different ways. They remain very effective against lice, but very safe for humans.
